Macroevolution Group PI contributed to the 4th International Conference of Geobiology (ICG): rocks, life and climate June 24-26 2017 organised by China University of Geosciences, Wuhan (http://www.geobiology.cn/2017meeting/) by providing a keynote with the title “Cretaceous Terrestrial Revolution: Changing Plant Diversity, Changing trophic interactions, changing environments”.  Together with Yongdong Wang (Institute of Geology & Palaeontology, CAS) , he co-chaired the session “Geobiology of Higher Plants”. The well-attended 4th ICG highlighted the importance to study the interactions between the abiotic (physical) components with the biotic (living) components of environments in space and time. The majority of talks focused on deep time aspects but Geobiology is also crucial to our understanding of the impact of global climate change on the future of biodiversity.
